Lawrence was a wonderful man who would always put others first. He was a true gentleman, kind, thoughtful, hard working, helpful - and had a lovely sense of humour. My strongest memory is of when we used to put the world to rights when organising Tackley Village shop newspapers on a Saturday morning, just one of many memories of this amazing person. I'm so, so sad that the latest lockdown prevents me even coming to pay my respects as the hearse passes on Tackley's roads but my thoughts are there. Lawrence, you were a shining light in my quarter century living in Tackley, and I've been so glad that we stayed in touch since we moved. Your memory lives on and you are much missed and irreplaceable. My thoughts are with Sylvia and your family who miss you so much. Liz xx
